Standard Industries Appoints Rich Robinson as CTO

NEW YORK, NEW YORK, September 12, 2018 – Standard Industries, a global industrial company, announced today that Rich Robinson has been appointed as Chief Technology Officer (CTO), overseeing all technology strategy and global information technology functions across Standard Industries and its operating companies.

Robinson joins Standard with an extensive background in building and deploying technology-driven solutions in high-growth, global organizations for more than 20 years.

“Rich will be tasked with not only creating a comprehensive technology strategy to address business needs and challenges, but also to help position Standard as a technology leader in the building materials industry,” said Standard Industries Co-CEO David Millstone.

Rich previously worked at CSDC Systems as CTO and was responsible for product, engineering and support. Prior to that, he was CIO and Vice President of Digital Transformation at SunPower Corporation, and held multiple leadership and technology roles at Bazaarvoice, kgb, NBC and Dendrite International.

Mr. Robinson holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from West Virginia University Institute of Technology, and served as a Communications Officer in the U.S. Army where he was awarded the Bronze Star. Rich serves on the board of directors of Beneplace, and he and his family are active fundraisers for various muscular dystrophy charities.
