Standard Industries Appoints Art Cummings as Head of Security
NEW YORK, December 6, 2018 — Standard Industries, a global industrial company, announced today that Art Cummings will serve as Standard’s new Head of Security, starting in 2019. Art comes to Standard having recently served as Chief Security Officer at General Electric Company.

In this role, Art will oversee and coordinate all security efforts for Standard, as well as its operating companies, to enhance the organization’s overall ability to protect its people, structures, technology, operations and intellectual property. He will be charged with expanding the physical and digital security infrastructure and developing global security policies, guidelines and procedures.
Art has over 40 years of combined experience in corporate, military, and government security. Prior to his work at GE, he served as Chief Security Officer and Chief of Cyber Security Operations at Bridgewater Associates. He also has over two decades of leadership experience with the FBI and spent eight years as a member of the United States Navy SEAL Team.
