Forbes: How Reflective Coatings Are Cooling Down One Los Angeles Neighborhood
Forbes‘ Jamie Hailstone reports on the Los Angeles neighborhood of Pacoima, where, in 2022, more than 700,000 square feet of solar-reflective pavement coatings were applied to streets, a school playground, a basketball court, and two parking lots.
One year later, results show an average ambient air temperature reduction of 1.5ºF during the daytime on sunny days, and an average surface temperature reduction of 10ºF during the daytime on sunny days.
