BMI Leadership Changes: Georg Harrasser to Step Down as President, Tom Anderson to Lead Business, Mark Andrews Named Chief Commercial Officer
EDITORS NOTE: This communication went out on July 17th, 2018 to all Standard Employees regarding recent leadership changes at the BMI Group:
We are announcing today that effective Wednesday, August 15th, Georg Harrasser will be stepping down from his role as President of BMI Group.
With the merging of Braas Monier and Icopal into BMI well underway, we have all decided it is the right moment for Georg to step back, spend time with his family, and think about his next chapter. We want to thank him for his many years of service to the company and wish him the best in whatever he does next.
We are pleased to announce that Tom Anderson – who has played a key role in BMI’s successes – will take on the role of President & COO, as we continue our active search for a CEO. Tom is a proven and respected leader, and we could not be happier to have him serve in this capacity.
We are also pleased to announce that Mark Andrews will take on an expanded role and become Chief Commercial Officer, with all regional presidents reporting directly to him. Mark, as you all know, has a history of driving significant success and we strongly believe this new role will help drive greater sales growth for the company going forward.
Having Tom and Mark serving in these expanded roles will streamline the organization and further cement BMI as the leading roofing and waterproofing manufacturer in Europe.
Please join us in wishing Georg well in his future endeavors, and in congratulating Tom and Mark on their new responsibilities.
