TechCrunch: Albedo takes Earth observation up close and personal from very low Earth orbit

Albedo, a Standard Investments portfolio company, announced that Kathryn Tobey, former head of classified space programs at Lockheed Martin, has joined Albedo’s Board of Directors, bringing deep technical and national security expertise to the team.

As the company prepares for its first satellite launch in early 2025, TechCrunch features a closer look at the satellite, called Clarity, which will launch in very low Earth orbit on SpaceX’s Transporter-13 ride-share mission, capturing high-resolution imagery for the company’s first customers.
